Senior leader with more than 15 years’ experience in both public and entrepreneurial start-up companies in the RF, wireless, optics and networking industries. Demonstrated track record of: developing an idea from concept to product, delivering industry leading technologies, building teams and companies. Strong technology background combined with leadership, business and marketing skills. Previously, Maha served as CTO of Rayspan, where she commercialized the first Metamaterial antennas and RF font-end subsystems for the cell-phone and WLAN industries. She has also pioneered the first Free-Space Optical systems for last mile connectivity and led various DARPA projects in wireless MIMO and Optical devices.
BERNARD CASSE, PhD
CTO
Seasoned technical leader and strategist with demonstrated track record of developing innovative technologies, leading world-class teams, and over delivering on complex multidisciplinary projects; 10+ years post-PhD experience in securing, leading and managing applied R&D contracts from both government agencies and the private sector. Bernard’s current role is to establish Metawave's technical vision, recruit talent, and lead all aspects of the company’s technological development. His current duty also involves directing the company’s strategic direction, development and future growth. Prior to co-founding Metawave, Bernard was an Area Manager at Xerox PARC.
GEORGE DANIEL
VP of Engineering
Senior RF engineering architect with more than 30 years’ experience working in the advanced development groups of Sony Ericsson and GE Radar Systems. His areas of expertise include metamaterials in the microwave and mm-wave bands, wireless communication, transceiver architecture, sensor networks, power conversion, antenna design, and radar systems. Prior to joining Metawave, George was Sr. RF Engineer at Xerox PARC, engaged in applied electromagnetic technology research, analysis, design, implementation, and testing for over a dozen technologies. Before PARC, George was the co-founder and President of Accurate Electronics – an engineering firm that integrated wireless capability into GE Energy's smart meters antenna design, and redesigned GE Energy's flagship product's main metrology assembly.
SANDY GODSEY
Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and COO
Senior executive counsel and leader with more than 20 years of experience in public companies, law firms and start-up companies in the wireless, mobile, semiconductor, microprocessor, networking, and Internet, ecommerce and other industries, including financial technology and payments. Most of her career was focused on providing intellectual property guidance to innovations and businesses in emerging high-tech areas, and recently including metamaterial innovations for wireless communications. She has a demonstrated track record of building and managing patent portfolios through strategic development of internal innovations, acquisitions of third party acquisitions, and in-bound licensing. Sandy is an experienced and skilled manager, accomplished in developing talent, team building, and counseling with strong negotiation skills and analytical capabilities in landscaping and analysis.
